Message It was only a while ago I was asking how to dispose of my front clip. Well it turned out to be a bitch because every place wanted a title or refused to take it. I ended up stripping it and cutting it up...that was a huge pain in the ass. I vote for not buying front clips just for that reason.

Today I have a similar question. First I shall provide a brief summary of what happened. I completed my TT conversion during the summer, and a day after, put it away because I had to go up to Albany for school. I transferred to a college near home this semester and registered my car so I could use it for commuting. After a week of enjoying boost and turning heads as usual I wrecked the Z on my way home. It was very cold and the roads were a bit salty, it happened on a slightly uphill and curved road where I decided to make some boost in 3rd gear. The tail came out, I tried controlling it by counter-steering but the pole was right next to me and slid right into it. Thankfully there was no passenger and I got a scratch on the forehead.

Other than driver error (making boost) the loss of control was due to shot shocks and worn summer tires that are shitty anyway (Continental ContiSport Contact) on NA rear wheels. It all comes down to the tires and if they don't provide traction you are not in control no matter how good of a driver is behind the wheel (yes unless you drive 5mph, smartass.) I strongly believe that if these were replaced that this would have never happened. Also another note is that I have 4.08 NA gears which makes for an aggressive 3rd gear :)

THE QUESTION: I am pulling the engine/tranny/gadgets/piping for another Z or possibly :( to sell. How much can I strip the car until junk yards or whoever refuses to tow it away for free, or even pay me. Would they tow it if i took the rear subframe off ---> no rear wheels? rear hatch, door....etc.???

Oh pictures:
